Death Valley National Park Stovepipe Wells Sand Dunes Death Valley National Park is the largest park outside of Alaska, at 3.4 million acres. It was established as a national park on October 31, 1994. The sand dune pictured above rises nearly 100 feet from Mesquite Flat.
